Bumblebee Snail (Engina mendicaria)

The bumblebee snail is a small strikingly patterned marine snail. These predatory snails are useful in keeping aquariums clean as well as controlling pests like Vermatid snails and keeping bristleworm populations in check. They will eat other snails such as Astrea snails when they are vulnerable such as when they have fallen and cannot right themselves.
