Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon innesi)

Neon Tetras are a small fish only reaching an inch and a half or so. They are fast moving with a bright blue stripe on the side. They prefer to be kept in groups of 5 or more and display a beautiful schooling behavior when done so. They are unfortunately not the hardiest fish in the hobby and because of this getting them established can be a challenge. Even when established they may still be sensitive to stress from changes in the water and as a result their lifespan can vary greatly from 3-8 years.
